OSHA is requesting an adjustment decrease in the existing burden hour estimate for the collection of information requirements in the Standard. In this regard, the Agency is requesting to decrease the current burden hour estimate from 622,482 to 602,594 hours, a total decrease of 19,888 hours. Although there was an increase in the worker and establishment estimates, we discovered a calculation error that created an overestimate of the burden hours in the last request for clearance. The error is corrected under this request and therefore created a decrease in the burden hours. Additionally, the capital cost estimate has decreased from $83,566,611 to $42,357,006, a total decrease of $41,209,605. This decrease is a result of a decrease in the medical consultation and medical examination price estimates used for this analysis, reflecting an updated method of deriving these prices.
