AmeriCorps is requesting this non-substantive change to bring one of the forms approved under its Generic Clearance for the Collection of Qualitative Feedback on Agency Service Delivery (PHA Grantee Survey) into compliance with Executive Order (EO) 14168 of January 20, 2025, Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government, 90 Fed. Reg. 8615 (January 30, 2025).

Section 2(e) of EO 14168 on Defending Women requires:

Agencies shall remove all statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications, or other internal and external messages that promote or otherwise inculcate gender ideology, and shall cease issuing such statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications or other messages. Agency forms that require an individual’s sex shall list male or female, and shall not request gender identity. Agencies shall take all necessary steps, as permitted by law, to end the Federal funding of gender ideology.

AmeriCorps is therefore requesting this non-substantive change to the Survey to delete references to “sexual identity status” in question 4.b, and “cisgender,” “transgender,” “genderfluid,” and “non-binary” at what was questions 4.p. through 4.s.
