Request for Participation

Dear (Prospective DAVA Participant),

The National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA), in partnership with the Department of Defense (DoD), is excited to invite military Domestic Abuse Victim Advocates (DAVAs) to participate in a survey! This survey is part of a larger effort to understand the needs, attitudes, and experiences of DAVAs worldwide.

Data gathered from the survey will be utilized along with listening sessions feedback in hopes of obtaining the most expansive snapshot possible of professional responsibilities and challenges. Your feedback is valuable in understanding the important and unique facets of functioning as a DAVA and will help to shape the training and credentialing effort for all military Service DAVA's in the future.

Please find your personalized survey link included below. This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is voluntary, you can stop answering questions at any point. Information obtained from this survey will remain confidential and only NOVA research staff will have access to the data. Aside from deidentified quotes for open-ended questions, all data will be aggregated prior to dissemination.

NOVA recognizes you and the meaningful work of DAVAs. Thank you for your time! For DAVAs wanting more information, please reach out to NOVA'S DAVA Team at dava@trynova.org. The government point of contact for this research is Ms. Angela Whittaker – DoD, Military Community Advocacy, (angela.m.whittaker5.civ@mail.mil).
