Dear (Prospective DAVA Lead Participant),

The National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA), in partnership with the Department of Defense (DoD), is excited to invite military Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVA) Leads to participate in a listening session! This listening session is the first in an ongoing effort to understand the needs, attitudes, and experiences of DAVAs worldwide.

This listening session will take at most 90 minutes and is voluntary, you can stop participating at any point. Feedback from the listening session will be utilized along with a census survey sent to all DAVAs in hopes of obtaining the most expansive snapshot possible of professional responsibilities and challenges. Your feedback is valuable in understanding the important and unique facets of functioning as a DAVA and will help to shape the training and credentialing effort for all military Service DAVA's in the future. We look forward to your participation as we couldn't do it without you!

NOVA recognizes you and the meaningful work of DAVA Leads - thank you for your time! For DAVA Leads interested in participating please complete the following Google Form. For DAVA Leads wanting more information, please reach out to NOVA'S DAVA Team at dava@trynova.org. The government point of contact for this research is Ms. Angela Whittaker – DoD, Military Community Advocacy, (angela.m.whittaker5.civ@mail.mil).
