Improving Services of Vaccination Rate Tracking among People Experiencing Homelessness (PEH)
Goal
of the study CDC
provides public heath surveillance, public health emergency
response services, and immunization reporting services that impact
the population of people experiencing homelessness, and funds and
develops standards for immunization information systems (IIS). The
goal of this project is to improve CDC public health services
focused on people experiencing homelessness through collecting
information to enable integration of IIS and HMIS (homelessness
management information system).
Intended
use of the resulting data: To guide future IIS-HMIS system
integration to improve CDC services to improve the health of
persons experiencing homelessness. Methods
to be used to collect: Small group discussion with jurisdictional
officials involved in IIS and HMIS systems, IIS and/or HMIS
vendors, and subject matter experts in IIS and/or HMIS data
linkages. The
subpopulation to be studied: Persons with experience or expertise
in considering or conducting data linkages of the IIS and/or HMIS
systems, including jurisdictional public health and housing
officials, vendors, and subject matter experts How
data will be analyzed: Summary of themes from small group
discussions that would inform future CDC service improvements
