Strategic Scholars Program Feedback Survey 2024

(2024 Strategic Scholars Cohort 7 End-of-Cohort Survey)

Goal of the project: The National Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce’s Partnerships and Performance Improvement Branch seeks to obtain program participant feedback on its Strategic Scholars Program. Participant reaction to program structure and offerings will inform whether and how CDC delivers this workforce development program in the future.

Intended use of the resulting data: Findings will be used to justify future program support, refine the program model, and improve program delivery. Feedback from participants in this cohort will inform future decisions about cohort composition, selection of appropriate web-based training courses, design of virtual learning sessions and skill workshops, delivery of coaching support, and applied project structure and guidelines.

Methods to be used to collect: An optional and anonymous web-based survey will be administered at the conclusion of the current, six-month Strategic Scholars Program cohort. Respondents will complete the survey using the web-based survey platform, Qualtrics.

The subpopulation to be studied: All 28 local and Tribal health department staff who are current participants in the Strategic Scholars Program will receive an invitation to complete the survey.

How data will be analyzed: The CDC recipient will export anonymous data from Qualtrics into Microsoft Excel for cleaning and analysis. Coding of qualitative survey data from open-ended questions also will occur in Excel.
